Umlauf

Sarah Umlauf

Executive Director

Sarah Umlauf is uniquely qualified to lead Cultural Festivals and the Saint Louis Art Fair, with expertise in art history, strong relationships with area businesses and city government, and years of experience as a Saint Louis Art Fair volunteer.

Sarah came to the organization from the City of Clayton, where she served as Museum and Community Outreach Specialist for 11 years. In this position, she acted as administrator for the Clayton Century Foundation (CCF), a private fundraising vehicle that works in partnership with the City. She worked with businesses and managed donor appreciation events. She also managed the day-to-day operations of the Historic Hanley House Museum, including identifying and applying for grants, and sustaining donor relationships.

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at Washington University and received a M.A. in Art History from The George Washington University. For the past 10 years, she has served as a docent for the St. Louis Art Museum, and in 2019, was appointed co-chair of the Docent Board of Directors.

Sarah served on the Artist Relations Committee of the Saint Louis Art Fair for over 10 years. As co-chair of the Artist Relations Committee, she met the needs of artists before, during and after the event, including registration, set-up and breakdown of their booths. She also supervised dozens of volunteer committee members.

Sarah is thrilled to lead this valued St. Louis organization, presenter of one of the top art fairs in the country.

Tracey Morgan

Director of Operations and Programming

Tracey is entering her position at Cultural Festivals as a seasoned Special Events Coordinator, with over 15 years of event planning experience. She is also an experienced graphic designer and aspiring photographer!

Her passion for the Arts began in 1998 at STLCC-Meramec, where she studied Mass Communications and was first exposed to black and white photography. Moving forward, Tracey would earn her BA in Business/Communications at the University of Phoenix, and later earn her Master of Fine Arts in Media Design at Full Sail University.

Tracey’s passion for event planning began in 2006, when she first volunteered with Places for People at their 4th Annual Golf Tournament. In the following years she would work for Lucky You Productions, where she planned events for eight years working on St. Louis Fashion Week, LouFest 2010, and Wall Ball – for several years. In 2011 she joined Third Degree Glass Factory until late 2019, co-leading their events department as Special Events Coordinator, planning over 250+ events.

In 2019, Tracey was named as an Emerging 2D Artist at Third Degree Glass Factory, where her photography exhibit, “Italy,” was on display in early February and featured in Gesso Magazine in March, 2019.

In addition to Tracey’s role at the Saint Louis Art Fair, she is also Artist Coordinator for Maplewood’s annual art festival, Let Them Eat Art, and newly signed on with International Institute, as their Operations Consultant for the Festival of Nations, held annually in Tower Grove Park.

A quote from Tracey, “With so much inspiration surrounding me — I feel this is where the journey to creating my life’s work begins — combining my passion of the Arts, with my passion for photography and graphic design, and sharing these visual stories with the world.”
